Multi-Purpose Compact Monochromator ML44

The ML44 high-aperture compact monochromator is used for separation of monochromatic radiation, study of light sources and detectors, analytical problems solution and other applications within the 190-1200 nm spectral range.

APPLICATIONS

• as a device for high-efficiency spectrum selection in study of light sources and detectors

• as a tunable narrow-band filter for wide-band fluorescence sources

• as a component of other research and analytical equipment operating in the UV, visible and NIR spectral ranges

Advantages of the ML44 Monochromator

  • extremely high aperture ratio

  •
  • compact size and light weight

  •
  • friendly interface compatible with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP and providing convenient and easy control over the device from your PC as well as by the control programme of your system

  •
  • using quartz fibers ensures flexible arrangement of your system components

THE ML44 DESIGN AND OPERATION

The ML44 high-aperture monochromator is designed on the horizontal scheme with the use of high-quality achromats as collimator and camera lenses. The optical scheme ensures astigmatism compensation. Spectrum scanning is performed by rotating a unit of two diffraction gratings set on one rotation axis. Control over scanning is achieved from the computer via the RS 232 port.

Entrance and exit slits are interchangeable, located on six-position discs. Slits are changed manually by easy turn of the slit-switch. Indicators show width of entrance and exit slits correspondingly, the software allows to estimate width of the spectral line separated by the monochromator.

Entrance and exit slits are supplied with adapters for optical fiber connection (SMA-905 connector) thus making the traditional optical bench unnecessary for assembling systems comprising the ML44.
